The results of the Emirati higher education institutions in the various international rankings reflected the consideration of the UAE as a regional and global center for higher education, and a preferred educational destination for students and academic professors, due to its internationally ranked advanced universities, in addition to the branches of the best international universities with a prestigious academic reputation.

The Emirati universities achieved second place in the Arab world in terms of the number of universities ranked internationally in the "QS" classification, (Cocarelli Symond), after Saudi Arabia, which topped the list with 10 universities, followed by the United Arab Emirates with eight universities, and in the "Times" classification. The Emirati universities came in third place with a score of five, after the Egyptian universities, which topped with nine universities, and Saudi Arabia came in second place with a score of seven universities.

At the level of the QS Foundation’s classification for the top 1000 international universities in 2021, eight Emirati universities maintained their presence in the list of the best international universities for the third year in a row, according to the latest classification issued by the institution.

Abu Dhabi University
