“According to information from the regional forestry dispatch services, over the past day, May 31, 44 forest fires on an area of 3,700 ha were eliminated in Russia,” RIA Novosti quotes the agency’s message.
The Air Protection Agency specified that by midnight on June 1, 19 forest fires were operating in Russia on an area of 5566 hectares, they were actively extinguished.
Earlier it became known that the emergency regime in forests was introduced in four Russian regions, and a special fire protection regime is in force in 49 other regions.
