[Explanation] On October 21, China's national key research and development plan "Advanced Rail Transit" key special project-400 kilometers per hour cross-border interconnection high-speed EMUs rolled off the assembly line in Changchun, Jilin.

Experts said that this is a milestone major innovation in China's high-speed railway equipment in the new era.

  The trains rolled off the CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. can operate on international railways with different climate conditions, different gauges, and different power supply standards. They can be interconnected on the railway network covering 90% of the world. It has the characteristics of energy saving, environmental protection, active safety, and intelligent maintenance.

  For example, there are currently four gauges in the world, standard gauges, Russian wide gauges, European wide gauges, and meter gauges. For these four gauge variants, we have developed four gauge-changing bogies, which can meet The usage requirements of more than 90% of the lines in the world.

CRRC Changke takes the lead in cooperating with more than 30 key units of industry, education and research, successively in high-speed EMU system integration, variable structure operation, traction conversion, train operation multi-objective optimization control Breakthroughs have been achieved in key core technology areas such as the establishment of a design, manufacturing, and test technology platform with intergenerational characteristics, and finally the technology, standards, equipment and service capabilities of cross-border interconnected high-speed EMUs.

  In the past, cross-border interconnection required 2 to 3 hours in the process of replacing bogies, but now we can realize automatic track change, which can be completed within 3 minutes per train.

It can automatically complete the track change at a speed of 15 kilometers (per hour), and continue to run on different forms of gauge.

  [Explanation] CRRC Changke introduced that based on the technology and product platform formed by the project, Chinese equipment manufacturing companies can customize the production of interconnected high-speed train products in accordance with the technical standards and operational service requirements of various regions around the world.

This can not only meet the needs of future technology and construction and operation development of China's high-speed railways, but also establish a new leading technology and standard system for global rail transit high-speed passenger transportation equipment.
