Bergen (dpa / mv) - A 34-year-old man without a driver's license hit a tree with his car near Bergen on Rügen and was seriously injured.
The man came on Saturday night for an unexplained cause with his car from the highway 301, the police said.
In the accident, the 34-year-old was trapped in his car and had to be freed by the volunteer fire department.
He was taken to a hospital.
According to the information, blood samples were taken from the man on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol and intoxicating drugs at the wheel.
The property damage amounts to about 6000 euros.
The L301 was completely blocked for several hours.
