Mainz (dpa / lrs) - The resident doctors in Rhineland-Palatinate have so far set 30 690 first and 56 second vaccinations against the corona virus - all with the preparation from Biontech / Pfizer.

This emerges from an overview by the Robert Koch Institute (as of Thursday).

So far, a total of 516,200 of the roughly 4.2 million people in the state have received their first injection.

With 15.1 percent, Rhineland-Palatinate is four percentage points above the national average.

The second vaccination received 203 212 people.

This corresponds to 5.0 percent - 0.8 points less than the national average.

The family doctors have been able to vaccinate since Tuesday.

Before that, they were only allowed to do this in model projects.

The practices are supplied directly via the federal government.

The exact amounts are still unclear.

Despite this, the country is said to receive 110,000 doses of vaccine a week.
