3 Italian dancers were killed in the desert of Riyadh in a tragic accident

Three Italian dancers have died after being involved in a car accident during a trip in the desert near the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

Last Friday, the tragic traffic accident occurred in the car in which Antonio Cagianelli, who was 33 years old, from the Italian province of Barletta Andrea Trani, Giampiero Ghiari, 32, from the Italian capital Rome, and Nicolas Esposito, 28 years old, from the city of Agrigentino on the island of Agrigentino. Sicily, Italy, where their car collided with a second car on a desert road.

The three dancers were in Saudi Arabia with a troupe of 10, all Italian, on tour to open a new theater, and on the day off, they decided to go for a walk to discover the desert of Riyadh with local guides.

For reasons still under investigation, the cars they were traveling in crashed into a cliff, and their bodies were recovered and transported by helicopter.

Following the tragic accident, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs contacted the families of the deceased, who arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday to identify the bodies, which should be returned to Italy in the coming days.
