It snowed all morning today (19th) in Seoul, and so far it has accumulated more than 3 cm.



According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the amount of snow in Seoul (Songwol-dong, Jongno-gu) at 1 pm is 3.4 cm.



Eunpyeong-gu (Jingwan-dong) snowed 3.4 cm, and Nowon-gu (Gongneung-dong) had 3.2 cm of snow.



In Seodaemun-gu (Sinchon-dong), snow accumulated less than 2.0 cm, and in Seocho-gu and Gangseo-gu, less than 1 cm.



In the five West Sea provinces and northern Gyeonggi and Gangwon, more snow was accumulated than in Seoul.



Looking at the amount of snow so far, Daeyeonpyeong-do in Ongjin-gun, Incheon and Pocheon-si (moving) in Gyeonggi-do are 7.7cm, Yeoncheon-gun (Shinseo) 6.9cm, Paju-si (Jokseong) 4.6cm, Goyang-si (Neunggok) 4.4cm, Dongducheon-si 4.0cm, Yangju-si 3.9cm.



In Cheorwon-gun (Oechon), Gangwon-do, the snow accumulated 9.0 cm, Hongcheon-gun (Guryong-ryeong) was 5.3 cm, Hwacheon-gun was 2.5 cm, and Chuncheon-si was 2.4 cm.



Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do (Daesan) currently has 6.0cm of snow, and Taean-gun and Dangjin have 5.2cm and 2.0cm of snow, respectively.



The Korea Meteorological Administration lifted the heavy snow advisory for Incheon (excluding Ongjin-gun) and Bucheon, Gimpo, Goyang, and Paju at 1 pm, and then lifted the heavy snow advisory for Seoul, Ongjin-gun, Incheon, and Gyeonggi (excluding the southeast) at 2 pm.



The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) explained, "As the snow clouds moved southeast, they left Seoul and lifted some heavy snow advisories in Seoul and the metropolitan area."



From the night of the 19th to the dawn of tomorrow, it is expected that snow or rain will fall in Yeongdong, Gangwon, the eastern coast of North Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Dongsan in Gyeongbuk, and snow or rain in Jeju.



Estimated snowfall is 5~15 cm in Yeongdong, Gangwon, eastern coast of North Gyeongsang, Dongsan in Gyeongbuk, mountainous region in Jeju, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo (more than 20cm in Yeongdong, Ulleungdo, Dokdo, Gangwon).
