On July 26, at the Nanjing International Expo Center, Jiangsu, the Nanjing "Huoyan" laboratory, with a construction area of 8,000 square meters, equipped with 12 hard gas film laboratories and 15 soft gas film laboratories, was in full swing.

The "fire eye" in the laboratory's name is taken from Monkey King's "fire eye and golden eye" in "Journey to the West". Used in laboratory scenes, it means that it can accurately identify various viruses.

The "Huoyan" laboratory is equipped with a variety of "black technologies", including an automatic cupping processing system, high-throughput automatic virus nucleic acid extraction equipment, etc., which can quickly improve the detection efficiency while reducing the risk of infection of the inspectors.

The "Huoyan" laboratory was first used in Wuhan, Hubei on February 5, 2020, and has since been used in China's anti-epidemic activities in Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong.

At present, the total number of "Huoyan" laboratories in more than 30 countries and regions around the world exceeds 80.

It is reported that the Nanjing "Huoyan" laboratory has been set up very quickly and will be put into use soon. If the "10-person mixed acquisition" model is adopted, the nucleic acid detection capacity can reach up to 2 million copies in a single day.
