15.6 billion dirhams written premiums for listed insurance companies within 6 months

The total written premiums of insurance companies listed in the local capital markets increased on an annual basis, by 7.64%, or the equivalent of 1.11 billion dirhams, during the first half of this year, while the net profit amounted to 817.8 million dirhams.

And based on the disclosures of 28 listed national insurance companies that announced their financial results on the financial market websites, the total written premiums increased from 14 billion and 563 million dirhams in the first six months of last year, to 15 billion and 676 million dirhams in the same period in 2022.

Thirteen companies listed on the Dubai Financial Market accounted for 56.1%, or 8.8 billion dirhams, of the total insurance premiums written for companies, while the share of 15 companies listed on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange reached about 43.9%, equivalent to 6.9 billion dirhams of the total.
