The Dubai Sports Council announced the launch of the "Our Summer Sports" initiative, which includes organizing 120 events from June 18 to August 31, and to be held in more than 90 different locations in Dubai and within 27 sports games, and aims to encourage all segments of society to practice sports and physical activity. during the summer period. This came during a press conference held yesterday morning at the council's headquarters. Speaking at the conference, the Secretary-General of the Council Saeed Hareb, the First Vice President of the Exhibition and Conference Halls Department at the Dubai World Trade Center Maher Julfar, and the Vice President of Operations and Global Snow Projects at Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, Leisure and Cinema Mohammed Al-Atari, in the presence of the Council’s Assistant Secretary-General Nasser Aman Al Rahma, spoke at the conference. and department managers.
The most prominent events organized for the first time in the region and held at Ski Dubai were revealed, namely the snow volleyball championship, snow yoga, the snow cycling event, and other activities.
Saeed Hareb said: "We have a strong relationship with Ski Dubai and the Dubai World Trade Center, as we work together to organize many tournaments and sporting events that contribute to spreading the culture of exercise and physical activity and motivate all members of society from different groups to participate in sporting events."
More than 120 events will be held within 27 sports on 90 different stadiums and locations throughout the Emirate of Dubai, including the badminton championship, which will be held on more than 15 courts, and the table tennis tournament on 12 courts.
