10 candidates won by acclamation in the "plane" elections, and the race is limited to the presidency of the Federation

The Volleyball Association Elections Committee for the 2020-2024 election cycle announced the winning of 10 candidates for membership in the Federation’s board of directors, by acclamation, while the race is limited to the president’s seat, which is being contested by Sheikha Shamsa bint Hasher Al Maktoum, candidate for Al Wasl Club, and Dr. Ahmed Al Mutawa, candidate Al-Nasr Club, and Abdullah Al-Darmaki, Al-Ain Club candidate.


According to the circular received by "Emirates Today", the meeting of the Elections Committee, which was held via video conference and chaired by the Chairman of the Committee, Muhammad Ali Amer, approved the date of the ordinary general assembly, which will witness the electoral process to be held at five o'clock in the evening next Tuesday, at the Marriott Al Jaddaf Hotel in Dubai.

It is noteworthy that the Elections Committee also approved the decisions of the Appeals Committee, to return a candidate from Ajman Club, Jamal Issa Al Matrooshi, and Al Wahda Club candidate Osama Abdullah Gargash to the electoral process, while it adopted a decision to reject the appeal of the Rams Club candidate, to submit his candidacy papers after the specified date, and also approved the right to vote for 17 clubs, while the Al Dhafra and Abu Dhabi women’s clubs were granted the right to attend, but without voting.
