Data from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority showed that the total number of passengers through Dubai International Airport reached 10,645,230 passengers during the first half of this year.

According to the data, which "Emirates Today" obtained a copy of, the total number of international passengers who used Dubai Airport during June 2021 reached about 1.55 million, compared to 1.47 million passengers in May 2021.

The air traffic at Dubai and Al Maktoum International Airports, during the first half of this year, reached 116,556 air movements, distributed between 101 thousand and 39 movements at Dubai International Airport, and 15,517 movements at Al Maktoum International Airport.

During June, air traffic at Dubai Airport recorded 16,368 movements, while it reached 2,097 movements at Al Maktoum Airport.

In terms of freight, Dubai International Airport handled about 1.07 million tons of air cargo during the first half of this year, including 178,676 tons during June 2021. Al Maktoum International Airport recorded about 94,948 tons of air freight during the first half of the year The airport recorded about 19,211 thousand tons of air freight during last June.

The total air freight at the two airports by the end of June amounted to about 1.16 million tons.

Dubai International Airport maintained its position as the largest airport in the world in terms of the number of international passengers, during the past year, for the seventh year in a row.
