Yes, there are only a few hours left before the doors of the Blue House open wide.
The preparations for the event are now in full swing, and some citizens who have been out for a walk have left a commemorative photo in the place where I am standing.
It is the first time in 74 years since the founding of the Republic of Korea that the interior of the Blue House was fully disclosed.
This historic scene can be viewed from noon to coincide with the inauguration of President Yun Seok-yeol.
President Yoon previously announced that he would put the first step in fulfilling his presidential campaign promise by returning the Blue House to the people.
With more than 1 million people applying to see the Blue House open, today, the first day of opening, about 26,000 people selected from noon to 8:00 p.m. will enter the Blue House.
As they walk around the Blue House, they will be able to see the main building, where the former president held official offices, Sangchunjae, a traditional Korean-style house used for receiving foreign guests, and Nokjiwon, known as the most beautiful place in the Blue House.
However, the opening of the inside of the building has been temporarily delayed for reasons such as cleaning up facilities.
At the same time, the hiking trail leading to the Blue House grounds and Mt. Bukak was open to the public from 7 am.
You can depart from either the east or west side of the Blue House without prior application, and you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Blue House through the hiking trails.
