A woman in her 50s who suffered from mental illness returned to her family safely eight days after her disappearance.


The Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul announced that they found a missing person, Yeonnam Lee (59), who had lost contact while leaving the house at dawn on the 6th, near an apartment in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul at around 4:20 pm yesterday (14th).



On the afternoon of the 14th, the police arrived after receiving a report from the apartment management office that "a woman said it was her house and kept asking the door to be opened", and the police protected Mr.



A police official said, "I did not say about Mr. Lee's whereabouts (during the period of disappearance) or why he went to Daechi-dong," he said.



Lee's family expressed their gratitude, saying, "I'm glad he came back safely."



At the time of discovery, Mr. Lee looked rather emaciated, but it is known that he is being taken to the hospital and receiving treatment, and is now stable.



Earlier, at around 4:30 a.m. on the 6th, after taking a taxi near Exit 6 of Yeonsinnae Station on Seoul Subway Line 3, the contact was cut off, and the police have been tracking Mr. Lee's whereabouts based on CCTV.
