Actress Lizzy (real name Park Soo-young, 29), a former member of the group After School, who caused a car crash while driving under the influence of alcohol was sentenced to a fine in the first trial.

Judge Yang So-eun, the 21st independent criminal of the Seoul Central District Court, sentenced Lizzy to a 15 million won fine today (28th) for violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment, etc. for Specific Crimes (Dangerous Driving Injury).

The court denounced, "The defendant was drunk and caused a traffic accident in a situation where it was difficult to drive normally, injuring the victim.

However, the court stated, "We took into account the fact that the defendant was a first-time offender and reached an agreement with the victim, that the victim's injuries were not serious, and that he pledged not to reoffend by handing over the vehicle (after the accident)."

Lizzy, who appeared in a black suit, put her hands together and silently heard the sentence and exited the courthouse.

Lizzy was handed over to trial on the 18th of May, at 10:12 pm, while driving a car in a drunken state, and was charged with injuring the taxi driver by crashing into a taxi at the southern end of Yeongdongdaegyo Bridge in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

At the time of the accident, it was investigated that Lizzy's blood alcohol level exceeded 0.1%, which was at the level of license revocation (over 0.08%).

Initially, the police only charged Lizzy with drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act, but the prosecution also applied the charge of dangerous driving under the Specific Crime Aggravated Punishment Act, considering that the taxi driver was injured enough to require two weeks of treatment.

At the first trial, Lizzy admitted to the charge, saying, "I am reflecting on myself even in my dreams," and the prosecution requested a sentence of one year in prison.

Lizzy debuted as a member of the group After School in 2010 and also worked as a member of the unit group Orange Caramel, and has been acting since 2018.
