A court interrogation has begun to decide whether to release Yoo Dong-gyu, a former head of the planning division of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, who was arrested on charges of bribery in connection with the Daejang-dong development lobbying case.

Seoul Central District Court Criminal Case Division 8-3 Division Chief Judge Jang Yoon-sun Kim Ye-young Kim Seong-hak Jang Seong-hak is conducting an interrogation of former general director Yoo from around 2:20 pm today (19th).

The detention trial is a process in which the suspect arrested in the investigation stage fights for the legality and seeks another judgment in the court.

In general, a decision to cite or dismiss is made within 24 hours from the end of the interrogation, and a decision on whether to release former general manager Yoo is decided as early as the afternoon of the same day.

Director Yoo arrived at the courthouse in a convoy and entered the courtroom through an internal passageway.

When designing the profit distribution structure for the Daejang-dong development project, former general manager Yoo was accused of causing a large amount of profit to a private business operator and causing damage to the private sector by removing the clause on the return of excess profits when designing the profit distribution structure for the Daejang-dong development project. He has been arrested and is under investigation.

Yoo's side has denied all allegations so far, saying that he has never received any bribes, and that there has been no act of negligence claimed by the prosecution, such as manipulation or deletion of provisions for expropriation of excess profits when selecting a consortium.

Prosecutors plan to indict Yoo in the near future.
