01 August 2020From deep blue to Comacchio beach, near Ravenna. A 17 cm "caretta caretta" turtle "puppy" arrived there, saved while reeling in the shallow water near the shore.

To notice the turtle some people who were on the beach who immediately called the Port Authority.

The turtle was recovered by the biologists of the Centro Cestha, who brought it to the care and recovery facility in Marina di Ravenna. In addition to losing its course, the puppy was covered in parasites called "dog teeth" due to their sharp shape, which are also clearly visible on the carapace.

The "caretta caretta" has been rehydrated and has started veterinary therapies to heal and to return to swimming in the deep blue as soon as possible.
