The head of state proposed a format for negotiations involving Ukraine, Russia and the United States. According to him, he intends to raise this issue at the Norman summit.

“This is our territory, and I would like it to return to us,” he said.

Zelensky said earlier that he takes a tough stance on the "return" of the peninsula.

Negotiations in the Norman format will be held in Paris on December 9. The Kremlin also confirmed preparations for a meeting of Russian and Ukrainian leaders.

Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, at which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
