Several people called police to hear a woman screaming for help.

- A patrol found the woman and it is believed to be a rape attempt. A man has come up behind the woman and tore her down on the ground, says Thomas Bertze, chief of staff at the Mittel police region.

The offender must then have interrupted and run from the scene.

- Several patrols have worked in the case and we have also had dog tracking. There is no suspect and thus no detention.

During the past week there have been two suspected rapes as well as a suspected rape attempt in Uppsala. The police cannot rule out a connection.

- Of course, this is investigated, and that is a natural part of the investigation. It is too early to say if there is one, says Thomas Bertze.

The incident is classified as attempted rape.
