Four people, three men and a woman, were killed Thursday afternoon, during a knife attack perpetrated within the police headquarters of Paris, by an agent working there for twenty years. The first known elements allow to draw up a first element of portrait of the author of the facts, whose motivations are not yet known.
A computer scientist aged 45
The 45-year-old, the hard-of-hearing perpetrator, worked in the DRPP's information department and had about 20 years of seniority. "Model employee and without history" according to the spokesperson of the police union Alliance Loïc Travers, the computer scientist was an administrative assistant and a category C official who had "never presented behavioral difficulties, nor the slightest sign of alert ", explained at a press point the Minister of the Interior Christophe Castaner.
Converted to Islam for two years
Originally from Fort-de-France, Martinique, he had been married since 2014 and converted to Islam for two years.
The motive of the attack is still very vague, and if a professional dispute was quickly raised, the checks are still in progress, including a search his home Val-d'Oise.
