The Attorney General of the State, Advisor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, has warned against posting videos and pictures of the arrest of crimes on some social networking sites, in contravention of the constitutional and legal system in the country.
In particular, Al-Shamsi stressed that, based on what has been recently monitored on some social media sites, the publication of videos and pictures of the arrest of crimes, some of which show the victims and accused persons, which is contrary to the constitutional and legal system in the State, and constitutes multiple crimes in Whereas the videos and photos that have been monitored contain offenses against the persons appearing in them, even if they are accused of committing crimes before they are found guilty, what may harm the higher interests of the State and affect public order therein, and their potential impact on the investigation of such crimes.
