Dubai Airports Corporation (DAC) today received the inaugural flight of Vistara, bringing the total number of Indian airlines serving Dubai and Indian cities to six carriers with 370 weekly flights to 21 destinations.

According to a statement issued yesterday, the Indian city of Mumbai ranked second on the list of cities or destinations in terms of the number of passengers, with a total of 2.5 million passengers in 2018, while the number of passengers between India and Dubai to 12.3 million passengers in 2018.

Indian airline Vistara, a joint venture between Tata and Singapore Airlines, announced daily flights between Mumbai and Dubai.

Dubai is the second international destination in the Vistara network after Singapore, she said.
