“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its disagreement with the introduction by the US government of new unilateral coercive measures against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the text says.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry believes that “these actions aimed at violating the sovereignty and prosperity of the Iranian people not only do not contribute to peace, but also constitute economic terrorism and clear violations of international law, as well as undermine multilateral efforts to achieve political dialogue and understanding in the region ".

Earlier, the United States imposed sanctions against the Central Bank and the National Development Fund of Iran.

The head of the Central Bank of Iran, Abdolnasser Hemmati, commented on the introduction of these restrictive measures.
