A couple in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture was arrested by the police for scolding the faces of their 3 and 4 year old sons and injuring them for about a week. All children are protected by the child guidance center, and the police are checking for routine assaults.
Arrested were Koriyama City company officer, Sakuma-gun suspect (31) and his wife and clerk, Chihiro (28).
According to police investigation, the couple suspected that his husband Chihiro had a 3-year-old son faced with a belt from 13 to 18 this month, while his wife Chihiro suspected his 4-year-old son's face. There is a suspicion of being injured as a slap. Both sons are injured for about a week.
On the 18th, the police proceeded with the investigation after receiving a report from the Child Guidance Center that "a child suspected of abuse was protected" and arrested the couple on the 20th.
In response to police investigations, the two have accused of "no mistake".
