On December 7 last year, a rapper recorded a music video in a house on Värmdö. Several people stood in front of the camera, waving both weapons and money. One of the guns fired a shot that hit the 18-year-old woman in the arm. She asked for help from the men to contact the rescue service. But in the panic that arose, the men decided instead to take her to health care themselves. She was driven off in a car that was left near an ambulance.

One of the now convicted men was arrested the day after it occurred but the other man remained wanted. What finally led the police to the other arrest were the tips that come in from the public after the police released video material from the recording.

During the trial, both men admitted to holding pistols, but denied the crime, claiming they believed it was toy guns.
