- Turkey: Trump threatens to "destroy" Turkey's economy after clearing its offensive in Syria
Turkish fighters have begun bombing the city of Ras al Ain, in northeastern Syria, in what appear to be preparations for the planned land offensive in this region , according to media reports.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced it on Twitter this Wednesday. The president has said that "Operation sources of peace" , the military offensive in Syria against Kurdish militias, has begun.
The CNNTürk chain shows live the image of columns of smoke coming from the border city, controlled by the Kurdish militias People's Protection Units (YPG), and ensures that a continuous overflight of fighters is heard.
