He thought he had a date with a young woman. He fell into an ambush. On December 13, a 27-year-old man was humiliated and beaten by a group of teenagers aged 15 to 18 in Cesson-Sévigné, near Rennes, while on his way to a date. Five of them were arrested on Tuesday and will be prosecuted, we learned from a police source.

That evening in December, the victim went to a dating site around 8 p.m. Two hours later, she had an appointment at Cesson-Sévigné. Upon arrival, she will not find a young woman but a group of teenagers hidden under their hoods. Hit with a punch and an iron bar, the young man will be forced to kneel and will be humiliated. Armed, his attackers film him and insult him, before forcing him to withdraw 400 euros in cash. For an hour, he was thus kidnapped, his phone was stolen and his car stolen and then abandoned by his attackers.

Seven days of ITT for the victim

Once released, the young man went to the hospital where he was prescribed seven days of ITT. He filed a complaint the next day. Technical investigations by the police have identified seven people suspected of being behind the ambush. Arrested Tuesday morning, five of the seven suspects will be prosecuted. Only one, just 18 years old, is of legal age.
