A monster with two heads: Lyon and Bordeaux-Bègles, overwhelming leaders of the Top 14 with six points ahead of their first pursuer, could still widen the gap at the top of the standings, respectively at Racing 92 and Montpellier, at the 5th day this weekend.

Christophe Urios, who arrived this summer on the bench Gironde, seems to have managed to cross a course at UBB. For the start of the second block, two weeks after their crushing 52-3 success against a pale Stade Francais, the Girondins will have to return the cover Sunday (12:30) at the home of Montpellier in search of redemption, after their setback to Agen (29- 10).

And this, without their second line Masalosalo Tutaia, suspended four weeks following his yellow card at Castres (3rd day).

Like Bordeaux-Bègles, the LOU has four wins, two bonuses and 18 points in favor of an advantageous schedule: he has played three of his first four home games. But unlike the UBB, which will have to move three times on the second block, the leader of the Top 14 will travel only twice, starting with the Racing 92 Saturday (20:45).

In trouble since the start of the season, the Parisians pocketed two defensive bonuses in Toulouse (20-17) and Toulon (32-29), but lost three times in four games.

And a victory against the men of Pierre Mignoni would be a feat, as the Lyonnais seem above the lot at the beginning of the season. The LOU will be led by the second line and captain Felix Lambey, not retained in Japan with the XV of France ... But will have to compose without his young center Pierre-Louis Barassi, 21, called in selection to overcome the package of Wesley Fofana .

. The Section wants his revenge

On the last step of the podium, Pau had to check the date of the fifth day of the championship since a long time. Humiliated last season in Toulouse (83-6), the Section Paloise wants to get his revenge this year.

And she arrives in a strong position in Ernest-Wallon, with three successes gleaned in the first block, when Toulouse lost three times. Stade Toulousain, decimated by the absences of its dozen internationals in Japan, will however want to get back to get away from the red zone.

Like Stade Français (13th) and Brive (14th and last), who had a very slow start, with only one success on the clock.

It was predictable for the Correze promoted, which now has a delay in comparison with other candidates for maintenance, Agen (8th, who goes to Castres) and especially Bayonne (5th, receives La Rochelle), author of a promising early of season, and who will have to take home against Toulon Saturday (15h30), not to sink.

It is rather surprising, however, to find the Parisians so poorly ranked after four days. Swept to Lyon (43-9) in opening and Bordeaux-Bègles (52-3) a fortnight ago, the Stade Français (which however played three out of four games away) will have to hold the dragée Haute Clermont Sunday (4:50 pm), closing the 5th day, to get up.

Program of the 5th day of Top 14 disputed Saturday and Sunday:

Saturday

(15h30) Brive - Toulon

(18h00) Bayonne - La Rochelle

Castres - Agen

Toulouse - Pau

(8:45 pm) Racing 92 - Lyon

Sunday

(12h30) Montpellier - Bordeaux-Bègles

(4:45 pm) Stade Français - Clermont
