The Drôme, Isère, Savoie and Haute-Savoie were placed Sunday in orange vigilance by Météo-France, because of a risk of "violent" storms.

Four départements rhônalpins: Drôme, Isère, Savoy and Haute-Savoie, were placed in vigilance orange Sunday by Météo-France because of a risk of thunderstorms "violent".
The alert concerns the end of the day and the beginning of evening, from 16 to 22 hours.

Risk of hail

Thunderstorms expected in these departments "may be accompanied by heavy rainfall (of the order of 30 mm / h), strong gusts of wind (around 100 km / h), hail and strong electrical activity" says the weather forecast service in its latest newsletter.

This is the third warning to thunderstorms launched by Météo-France this week. The previous episode was heavy Friday in the north-east of the country with the passage of a tornado in Meurthe-et-Moselle.
