• March 7, 2019: Center Party group leader Anders W Jonsson announces that Eskil Erlandsson leaves his parliamentary seat after a "behavior that is not acceptable". Party leader Annie Lööf writes in a post on Facebook that "unacceptable behavior has consequences".
  • March 11, 2019: The leadership of the Center Party has since November 2018 tried to persuade Eskil Erlandsson to leave his parliamentary seat. Party leader Annie Lööf says that a long line of calls were required before Erlandsson finally resigned.
  • March 13, 2019: Prosecutors launch a preliminary investigation into sexual abuse.
  • August 5, 2019: Eskil Erlandsson is charged with three cases of sexual misconduct. Chief Prosecutor Lena Kastlund says there are three different cases of sexual misconduct against three different women in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Erlandsson denies the crime, according to attorney Johan Eriksson.
  • November 25, 2019: The trial of Eskil Erlandsson begins at Stockholm District Court.
