Representatives of FC Barcelona traveled to France on Tuesday to discuss with those of Paris SG a possible return to Barça of the Brazilian star Neymar, say several French and Spanish media, without the record changes significantly.

According to RMC and Le Parisien, the meeting did not lead to any agreement or even a significant advance, the PSG being inflexible on the required compensation.

FC Barcelona's sports director, former French player Eric Abidal, and two other club leaders have flown to Paris to meet their PSG counterparts, the Catalan media Rac1 and TV3 have announced.

Barcelona would offer an agreement that would include players like Philippe Coutinho or Ivan Rakitic, added the media.

On Saturday, during the traditional pre-match press conference, PSG's new sports director Leonardo said the talks were "more advanced than before" regarding the transfer of the Brazilian prodigy. "If he leaves, he leaves, the quicker (we'll know), the better (it will be)," said Leonardo.

Real Madrid or FC Barcelona are the most frequently cited destinations for Neymar, which was transferred from Barça to Paris for 222 million euros in 2017.

In Madrid, the sports daily AS claimed that PSG had proposed the 27-year-old Brazilian to Real Madrid if he could recover the 222 million or half that amount if he received more players.

But in Barcelona, the newspaper Mundo Deportivo said that "the priority" was that the Brazilian striker returns to Barcelona and plays again with his friends Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
