“Tomorrow at 9 o’clock in the morning the United Russia faction will sit, Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin will be present there, the format will be usual: questions, answers, his speech and the faction’s decision,” said Shkhagoshev.

According to him, serious decisions and personnel are required that will implement the tasks set during the message to the Federal Assembly.

“In this regard, both the nomination and the discussion are very expeditious,” he explained.

The parliamentarian also described Mishustin as a person "quite sociable."

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma the candidacy of the head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Mikhail Mishustin for the post of prime minister.

On January 15, after the president announced the message to the Federal Assembly, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced the resignation of the government.

The head of state asked the Cabinet to fulfill duties until the formation of a new government.
