Shock description on the institutional website of a comprehensive institute in Rome. The presentation page on the official website reads that in a school complex the students of the "upper middle class" study together with the children "of domestic workers and carers who work for their families", while in the headquarters located "in the heart of the popular district of Monte Mario "pupils of" medium-low social background ".

Newspaper "Leggo" gave the detailed description on the website of the Comprehensive Institute in via Trionfale in Rome.

To distance the Association of principals. "The school is an educational and inclusive place, not to superficial and useless forms of categorization" underlines Mario Rusconi, president of the ANP-Lazio explaining: "The school cannot highlight any socio-cultural differentiation of the enrolled pupils since, between the other, besides giving a bad representation of herself in the eyes of the reader, she also runs the risk of originating class ideas or forms ".

The description of the school
"The headquarters in via Trionfale and the plexus in via Taverna welcome pupils belonging to middle-upper class families, while the Plexus in via Assarotti, located in the heart of the popular district of Monte Mario, welcomes pupils of medium-low social background and counts , among those enrolled, the largest number of pupils with non-Italian citizenship - according to the school website - the plexus in via Vallombrosa, on via Cortina d'Ampezzo, welcomes, instead, mainly pupils belonging to upper middle class families together with children of employees employed in these families (domestic workers, carers, drivers, and the like) ".

Minister Azzolina: "The institute motivates the choice"
"The school should always work to encourage inclusion. Describing and publishing its school population by consensus does not make sense. I hope that the Roman institution mentioned on leggo.it today can give reasoned reasons for this choice. That however I don't agree. " This was stated by the Minister of Education Lucia Azzolina regarding the description on the website of an institution in the capital where it reads: "Here the upper middle class, there the children of the poor".

"I am really baffled that in 2020 a public school can appear on its website distinguishing its complexes based on the socio-economic rank of its students going against any value expressed by our Constitution. I am already taking action to request its immediate removal from the site web ". This was stated by the Undersecretary for Education Peppe De Cristofaro on the story of the web presentation of the Comprehensive Institute of Via Trionfale in Rome, which divides the complexes according to the social class of its students.
