The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Emirates Bicycle Tour held an expanded meeting, to discuss the developments of the organizational stages of the second version, which will be held from 23 to 29 February, with a joint organization between the sports councils in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, under the umbrella of the International Federation of Bicycles in its racing agenda for 2020 .

The meeting, which was held at the Westin Hotel in Abu Dhabi, was attended by Secretary of the Dubai Sports Council and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee for the Tawaf, Saeed Hareb, and the Secretary General of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Vice-President of the Higher Organizing Committee for the Tawaf, Aref Al Awani, and the Secretary General of Sharjah Sports Council, Issa Al Hazami, and Director of Administration Events: Suhail Al-Arifi, Director of Sports Media Department, Nasser Al-Zaabi, Director of Community Sports Department at Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Saeed Al-Muhairi, in addition to Director of Institutional Support Department, Saleh Al Marzouqi, and Director of Communication and Marketing Department at Dubai Sports Council, Sarah Al-Sayegh.

A press release said: “The second edition of Dubai and the closing ceremony will be held in Abu Dhabi, passing through the seven emirates, a translation of the guidance of the wise leadership, and its wise vision that resulted in the merging of the Abu Dhabi and Dubai circuits with the Emirates cruise, which recorded great successes in its first version, as the Emirates Tawaf became its The new, the only approved race in the Middle East, is on the FIVB's agenda, which includes 75 races throughout the 2019-2020 season. ”

The meeting said: «The meeting witnessed a review of the latest developments in the preparatory stages of the Emirates cruise and the tracks of all stages, and the participation of global elite teams and world racing stars in the second version stages. Plan the marketing and media campaigns for the circling, and the most important new steps for the global event, which represents the ideal image of sports progress.

The meeting witnessed the discussion of the details of the press conference, which will be held today at the Sharjah Academy of Space Science and Astronomy, to unveil the shirts, tracks and sponsors of the second edition, as well as review the community challenge races and accompanying events.

For his part, Saeed Hareb stressed the importance of periodic and coordinating meetings, to update the latest developments in the organizational processes for the second edition.

In turn, Aref Al-Awani said: "We discussed important details and main axes of the stages of the regulatory work of the circling, which will take place amid the diversity of terrain and landmarks in all its stages, in light of the large preparations and the distinguished cooperation of all partners, which will inevitably lead us to a global circumambulation befitting the reputation and standing of the UAE at the international level."
