About this TASS told the press service of the airline.

“The pilots Damir Yusupov and Georgy Murzin will receive the Star of Heroes of Russia. The awarding will take place in the Kremlin on November 21, ”the report said.

Earlier it became known that Yusupov ceased to introduce himself to passengers before the flight, as this caused them “special thrill” on board at the moment the aircraft entered the turbulence zone.

On the morning of August 15, the Airbus A321, flying from Moscow to Simferopol, shortly after takeoff, made an emergency landing a few kilometers from the Zhukovsky airport near Moscow after the failure of both engines, which was previously connected with a flock of seagulls.

Pilots Yusupov and Murzin planted the liner on a cornfield without landing gear, which, according to the crew commander, was made for safety reasons.

On board the aircraft were more than 230 people, including more than 40 children.

On August 16, Russian leader Vladimir Putin awarded the Airbus A321 pilots the titles of Heroes of Russia, the remaining crew members were awarded the Order of Courage.
