Khajendra Tapa Magar, the record holder with the title "The Shortest Man in the World", died in a hospital in Pokhara, central Nepal, today at the age of 28, his spokesperson announced.

"We admitted him to Manipal Hospital on Thursday," said the head of the Khajendra Tapa Majar Foundation, Maine Bahadur Rana, adding that "the doctors said he died from acute pneumonia."

In October 2010, the Guinness Book of World Records announced that Magar is the shortest wandering man in the world with a length of 67.08 centimeters.
