August 13, 2019 The police released the name of the man who was to kill a woman by stabbing and then injuring two others and was captured by the citizens of Sydney. It is Mert Ney, 21 years old from Marayong, a suburb of Sydney near Blacktown, probably a freak. The Sydney Morning Herald website writes that it seems he knew the woman who died, but no details have been released at the moment. Police chief Mick Fuller confirms that he was a "lone assailant", but that he has "ideas related to terrorism. The assault with the knife" is not currently classified as a terrorist act ". Fuller explained that "the information we found on him would suggest that he had ideologies related to terrorism ... but he has no obvious connections with terrorist organizations".
