The evening program for Marie Fredriksson will be recorded at the Grand Theater in Gothenburg on January 20, when Per Gessle and other artists from Marie Fredriksson's presence will gather to play music from both her solo career and from time with Roxette. Chaplain is Christoffer Lundquist who previously played with Roxette.

Marie Fredriksson passed away in December 2019 after a long illness. The tribute program to her will consist of both a look back on Marie Fredriksson's life and career and a concert.

The program director is Kattis Ahlström and the editors behind The Swedish Pop Wonder - Magnus Broni and Fredrik Norberg - are responsible for elements, gold grains from the archive and previously unpublished material showing the emergence of a world star, SVT writes in the press release.

- Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle put Sweden back on the musical world map and Marie's own songs are still played today on dates, weddings and other festive occasions. It should be nice to give back a little in connection with the concert evening, says Christina Hill, SVT program manager.

The program An Evening for Marie Fredriksson will be broadcast in SVT1 on Saturday 25 January from 21.00-22.30
