“Participants in the meeting, chaired by the head of the National Security Council, Chung Ny Yong, express serious concern about new launches and urge North Korea to refrain from actions leading to an escalation of tension,” the South Korean President’s Administration quoted TASS as saying.

According to the agency, South Korea will continue to collect information on North Korean missiles with the United States. Seoul also calls on North Korea to continue negotiations on nuclear disarmament of the Korean Peninsula.

Earlier, the Japanese government announced the next missile launch of North Korean ballistic missiles.

On August 16, North Korea conducted another test of new weapons in the presence of the country's leader Kim Jong-un.
