The images had shocked to the top of the state: bags of snow towed by helicopters then dumped on runways. It was in the Pyrenees, at the Superbagnères station, that the videos were filmed. They were followed by an awareness: ski resorts can no longer act despite any environmental consideration. At Les Rousses station in the Jura, it has been ten years since work on ecology was started. Ronan Cailleaud, quality, safety and environment manager at the station, now labeled "Green Snowflake", details the Europe 1's efforts at the station.

"Identify and limit our impact"
The Rousses resort was the very first to be labeled "Green Flake", for its eco-responsible approach. "It's been ten years since we started our environmental approach. We have always been a nature destination," explains Ronan Cailleaud. Indeed, ten years ago, the station received ISO 14001 certification, "with the objective of identifying and limiting the impact of our activity on the environment, with concrete actions", he continues. .
"Involve all the actors"
Among these actions, the station organizes for example the sorting of waste on the snow front, or has set up dry toilets. "We monitor our energy consumption and optimize the grooming plan by GPS tracking," explains the station manager. "All of these concrete actions have resulted in the 'Green Snowflake' label, which has enabled us to involve all of the resort's players in the same process," says Ronan Cailleaud.
