“The investigating authorities of the Far Eastern Investigative Directorate for Transport of the IC of Russia are conducting a check on the fact of an air incident with an L410 aircraft on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Russia (violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport), ”the department’s press service said in a statement.

According to the transport prosecutor's office, the plane took off on the route Khabarovsk-Nikolaevsk-on-Amur at about 11:00 (04:00 Moscow time), but an hour after takeoff, the engine warning system worked.

“The aircraft commander decided to return to the airport of departure,” said representatives of the investigation department.

Onboard there were 13 passengers, including three children, none of them were injured.

On the morning of August 15, the A321 Ural Airlines plane, flying from Moscow to Simferopol, soon after takeoff made an emergency landing in a cornfield near Zhukovsky Airport after engine failure, presumably due to a flock of birds.

As a result of emergency, 76 people applied for medical help.

An expert Yuri Sytnik in an interview with the NSN noted that the A321 pilots picked up a soft pad and performed all the necessary procedures in order to avoid fire of the liner.
