Let's take a look at the situation in Daegu and Gyeongbuk where many patients came from. As we heard, 31 patients confirmed yesterday (18 days) and 14 people who attended the same church in Daegu were confirmed today. Patient 31 went to church twice after symptoms appeared, and it was reported that about 1,000 people were there.

Shincheonji Daegu Church has a sign saying no entry.

Originally, wednesday had worship at lunch and dinner, but there were no believers in church.

The church has over nine thousand believers.

The entrance to Shinchonji Daegu Church is closed like this.

No one is going to and from the building, and only the parking lot manager is left here.

[Shincheonji Church official: (Church) is totally in control now?) Yes, I'm preventing you from coming in. (Nobody in the building?) Yes, nobody.]

Patient 31 attended the service on the last 9 and 16 days after the onset of symptoms.

[Former Shincheonji Daegu church official: I usually sit on the floor about 1,000 people, because they sit together on the floor.]

Daegu has said that the number of people who stayed together when the 31st patient had worshiped twice reached about 1,000 people, but the church said that it is about half of the total number of believers.

Health officials said today that 14 out of 20 confirmed people see it as a case of super dissemination in connection with the church.

[Eun-Kyung Chung / Head of Disease Control Division (briefing today at 2 pm): There are 11 cases involving churches, including 31 patients.

Health officials say more research should be done to see if 31 patients were super propagators that infected all 14 people.

Patient 31 may have been infected by someone else.

The health authorities believe that because of the nature of the church, many people stay in small spaces for a long time, so there may be more other infected people.
