The number of private schools that have increased their fees this year reached 41 schools in various cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, according to the Sharjah Authority for Special Education, which deals with the affairs of the private education sector in the emirate. The fees were approved in a previous period.

He pointed out that the Authority applies a package of school monitoring and evaluation standards and performance standards based on the quality of students' achievements, personal and social development and innovation skills, the quality of teaching and evaluation processes, the quality of the curriculum, the quality of the protection and care of students and provide guidance and support, and the quality of leadership and management of the school.

Al-Hosani explained that the criteria include learners, through the measure of the elements of health and activity and the degree of motivation of learners, in addition to their acceptance of the educational process, and methods of education through the effectiveness of methods used in teaching and the efficiency of teaching staff, in addition to educational content through the appropriateness of the curriculum adopted By grade level, in addition to the educational system, the administrative system (governance) and the efficient distribution of the required resources.

He explained that there are criteria related to how to assess fees, the first criterion related to the provision of a school building in accordance with educational standards and a certificate to meet the requirements of security and safety from the Civil Defense, and a certificate of inspection of the municipal building, and a maintenance contract, a contract of cleanliness, and clinic licensing from the medical area. The second criterion includes administrative, educational, technical and auxiliary staff, in terms of the level of salaries of employees and their proportion to the level of school fees, and the attachment of the bank statement of employees, and the statement of employees from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (payroll), the ratio of workers to students, and the number of educational supervisors and mentors.

The third criterion relates to educational and educational services, such as extra-curricular activities, gifted welfare programs, the number of cases of integration of people with disabilities and services provided to them, and behavioral social welfare. The fourth criterion relates to the cost of education, in terms of total salaries, annual rent, petty cash, and professional development. Extra-curricular activities, community services, scholarships, maintenance, incentive bonuses and financial assistance.

Al Hosani said that the number of schools supervised by the Authority reached 116 private schools in Sharjah following 10 different curricula. He pointed out that five experts have started to develop these schools to make improvements in them since the beginning of the current school year, to raise the quality of education.

He pointed out that the new school year saw the opening of three new private schools, each school follows a particular curriculum (American, British, and ministerial).
