17 August 2019The Houthi Shiite rebels operating in Yemen have launched a drone attack on oil facilities at Shaybah, in eastern Saudi Arabia, not far from the border with the United Arab Emirates.

Houthi TV, al-Masirah, reported that "ten drones" were used for the attack. The "oil field and a refinery" would be finished in the viewfinder.

The Shaybah site is managed by Saudi Aramco. And Saudi sources confirmed the attack: quoted by the Europa Press agency, they talk about "minor" damage to Shaybah's facilities after a fire in a gas plant. The flames were soon tamed. According to sources, there were no repercussions for oil production. There are no victims.
