It's a meeting that looks like a crisis meeting. The US Secretary of State is in Saudi Arabia this Wednesday, September 18th. Mike Pompeo is received by the kingdom's strongman, Crown Prince Mohamed Ben Salmane, to discuss the drone attacks on the Saudi oil installations attributed to Tehran by Riyadh and Washington. What to deal with these aggression? The Saudis seem deadlocked.

The Saudis are completely destitute. The Kingdom is a giant with clay feet. Launched in an unrestrained arms race , Riyadh spends billions of dollars every year on its defense and for what result? The monarchy can not even preserve the integrity of its airspace.

The Americans are flying to the rescue of their ally, after the two attacks on oil installations by Houthi rebels. Diplomatic leader Mike Pompeo is in Jeddah to coordinate efforts to counter " Iran's aggression in the region ."

Procrastination of the White House

On the side of Tehran, not even afraid. The leaders of the Islamic Republic show their ascendancy in this balance of power that seems to have been established. They repeat it incessantly: " There is no question that President Hassan Rohani meets Donald Trump to try to find a way out of the crisis . "

They especially benefit from the procrastination of the White House. With each new attack in the Gulf, Donald Trump reacts at lightning speed, accuses Iran and promises to retaliate militarily before changing his mind. Meanwhile, the US administration is trying to convince the international community of Tehran's guilt.
