This is the 52nd time the same weekend is being held in Malå, a meeting place for the Sami in the area. In addition to socializing, barbecuing and firing air rifles, competition was also held in lasso throwing. Hanna Karlsson from Östra Kikkejaure in Arvidsjaur was one of the competitors.
- I was a little nervous in the morning but then I felt pretty calm.
Hanna Karlsson believes it is important to meet on such occasions. For her family, it is a tradition when her mother is from Malå.
