Sportsmen and officials in charge of the UAE swimming have demanded to pay attention to the swimmer Al Wasl Club and the national team, Salem Ghalib, and give him the opportunity to prove his ability to compete in international and international forums, and prepare him to become an Olympic champion in the future, pointing out that several problems stand in the way of the star swimmer, most notably the lost preparation plan between Swimming Federation, the General Authority for Sport and the Ministry of Education.

They told Emirates Today that the Authority refuses to travel by swimmers at this young age, while the Ministry of Education refuses to treat heroes with a special system that reduces the number of hours of study and gives them flexibility in exam times, which caused the loss of junior team to the efforts of distinguished swimmer. "Yusuf al-Matroushi was represented at the Asian Championship last September because of school exams."

In the last two years, Salem Ghalib broke 15 local and Gulf records and was named the best 14-year-old swimmer in the Gulf of Kuwait in September. He is also the first UAE swimmer to register a Gulf number in his name. The title of best swimmer in the Gulf Championships, was in Kuwait last September.
