The company leaves Skavsta Airport in Nyköping due to delivery problems with the aircraft model Boeing Max 737.

Ryanair writes in the press release that they ordered 20 aircraft for the summer of 2020 but only get half delivered and that means that they now have to close two of their bases.

In addition to Skavsta, the company closes down in Nuremberg.

"Regrets"

- We regret that operations are closed down at these two airports as well as that there are minor reductions at other airports, which is entirely related to the delivery problems of Boeing Max aircraft. We continue to work with Boeing, trade unions and affected airports to minimize the number of lost jobs, says company CEO Eddie Wilson in the press release.

SVT is seeking Ryanair for a comment.
