Ryanair will meet today with the unions of the cabin crew of the company and the arbitration commission to try to avoid the strike called for September and that could cause chaos, as has happened on other occasions.
The company and the USO and Sitcpla unions, which represent the cabin crew on the airline, were summoned this Tuesday before the Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service (SIMA) to try to resolve the conflict and avoid the 10 days of strike announced by Both unions for September.
Both announced Friday stops for days 1, 2, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 28 of the said month in the 13 Spanish bases that Ryanair has in Spain in protest against the intention of the airline to close three of them (Gran Canaria and Tenerife and Girona), which would lead to layoffs, as unions fear.
The company already warned in February that it would cut jobs and close bases due to uncertainties arising from Brexit and also due to the negative impact of the delay in the delivery of the order for 30 373 MAX aircraft.
