It is noted that the parties discussed the regional agenda, including the current situation around Syria with an emphasis on further coordination of efforts within the Astana format.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif the situation in Syria and the issues of the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear deal.
